JLH debuted this modification back in 2007, and we have since developed the conversion kit. Final costings will appear in the parts department later this year, and this transformation has a very bright future.
We have joined forces with Omex Power, who supply all the engines brand new and ready to run. Each is supplied with all parts ready fitted and is ECU mapped, so it really is a plug and play conversion. They are 2.0 litre black top engines and are hot run (fitted to a jig, started and taken to working temperature) to check them, and offered with a twelve month warranty.
At the moment we offer 170 and 200 bhp versions but will also offer an entry-level standard spec motor with 145 bhp. All are mated with Ford Type 9 five speed gearboxes with either standard or up-rated ratios. Clutch actuation is hydraulic and very light in operation. We have a demonstration vehicle available in Cheltenham, and test drives can be arranged by appointment.

Engine and Fitting Kit Specifications
Base engine: All engines are based on NEW Ford Zetec 2.0 Focus engines
Electronics: All engines are supplied with a pre-calibrated Omex 600 ECU, connected to the engine using a heatshrunk, race-spec harness. All required sensors (with the exception of the Lamda sensor) are also included.
Inlet system: Proven, reliable Jenvey throttle bodies fitted with injectors and fuel pressure regulators are fitted on all systems.
Sump: A new cast wet sump with internal baffles and improved ground clearance is included.
Flywheel and clutch: A standard flywheel and clutch is included with the system. Upgrades are available.
Ignition: DIS coil pack, ignition leads and spark plugs are included.
Alternator: A two wire high output alternator fitted with billet aluminium brackets.
Cans: Standars cam in the 170 bhp engine. Uprated cams in the 180 and 200 bhp engins.
Cylinder head: Standard head on the 170 and 185 bhp engines. Modified head on the 200 bhp engine.
Optional extras: Lightened flywheels, starter motors and bellhousings are all available.
